“Momentum Lab”: A New Initiative for Civic Development in Ruse

“Momentum Lab” is a public benefit association established to support the development of an active civil society, resilient communities, and innovative responses to contemporary social challenges. The organization operates independently, on a voluntary basis, and brings together individuals and partners who share a commitment to long-term social impact.

The work of “Momentum Lab” focuses on several interconnected areas, including the development of education and skills, particularly through non-formal learning, the enhancement of digital and media literacy, and support for critical thinking and countering disinformation. The organization also places strong emphasis on youth empowerment by creating opportunities for young people to participate in initiatives, projects, and processes related to community and societal development.

An important part of its future work will involve promoting social innovation and entrepreneurship, including by fostering an environment for idea development, knowledge exchange, and capacity building. “Momentum Lab” will work to support local communities and initiatives, as well as the development of the social economy and sustainable models of cooperation.

The organization plans to pursue its mission through training activities, events, research, the creation of educational content, and participation in national and international partnerships. Active engagement in European programmes and networks will be a key instrument for exchanging good practices and expanding impact.

In the long term, “Momentum Lab” aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the Ruse region and the Danube area by connecting local potential with broader European and international processes.
